The original 2009 Swedish film adaptation of the book.
(This is probably completely bias and unfair because I saw the English version first)
In multiple ways it was better than the new 2011 English version. The computer usage in the movie is pretty much completely accurate. There wasn't any thing to make it fool people into believing it was incredible hacking or w/e. It also explained things a bit better.
But in the end, I prefer the English version. Maybe it's because I went into the Swedish version expecting it to be a lot different when, for the most part, it was the same movie with a few different things. There were a few things that weren't in the English version but overall besides a few scenes it was pretty much the same, story wise.
I liked the characters in the English version better too. The all seemed so much better and more fitting for the role. But I probably only think that because I saw it first.
During one of the sex scenes you could see Lisbeth's (pretty much the main character. Except not really but the entire series of books/movies is based on her and I think she's normally not really the main character but she helps the main character. Idk) armpits and they were all gross and hairy wtf man disgusting barf.
