In my opinion, we need a new spam crew nowadays. All that's getting submitted to the portal nowadays is shitty cookie-cutter games and games reposted from other websites.

And a spam crew gives the newgrounds community something to get pissed at, and talk about instead of the reoccuring bland shitty threads they have nowadays.

I had a feeling none of you would go along with me, so if nobody wants to join me I can always start something on my own.

Which is why we would do the same thing as any other spam group.

Make a new website, make alternate accounts, and leave no trace of who we are, if we want to stay anonymous.

not too long before i left newgrounds, wade PM'd me asking about i think 5 separate accounts that i had all on my ip. they were all deleted by him then and i responded saying that i had forgotten the passwords and i was gonna abandon the account i was using because it had a lot of embarrassing posts on it from when i was 8-11, which was the truth

making alternate accounts won't stop admins from discovering that you're spamming shit

The point I was making was that if we didn't want to look like, as yert said: "a bunch of fags and try-hards" we would make alternate accounts. Sure, if the admins look into it, they will know what our normal usernames are, but the NG userbase won't.

There's no rule against spam, there's no rule against alts.

I decided I was going to start making spam submissions once.
It took too much effort.

I really don't want to spam the portal. I hate spam groups.

As a shitty crew leader of a shitty crew, I gotta agree with Xe on this. The portal's dying. Crews always gave Newgrounds that face that other sites just don't have. Clock Crew barely submits and when they do it's only on some holidays like Clock Day; Lock Legion kinda went that way too, but not as bad and there work generally is of higher quality.

The spam crews are basically gone -- at least activity wise. I haven't seen a Star Syndicate flash active in the latest 50 ever. Kitty Krew wasn't too active last year, though there were some flashes. Post 2012 design, and the removal of Turd, they seemed to have disappeared. Though both forums are very active.

All the baby Ock crews? Gone. Most didn't make it out of the first 10 flashes -- and barely scraped two years, if they did.

So that really just leaves Clocks and Locks who barely submit, and my own crew which is nothing to brag about. Though, I was able to prove we could survive on such a late time.

You guys already have your forum, and you know how to get flash if you don't have it already. Spam's quick to make. Find a song, grab a picture from Google, do some tweens, and change colors. And boom, spam.

Do it in mass, though don't force flood. Two a day, from each member. Can even be the same .swf, though something needs to be different. That could even be a brush stroke off screen. That'll piss some kids off and they may post on the BBS about it.

If you're worried about your account's safety, don't be. If Wade gets mad, he'll tell you to stop, first. He won't outright delete you. If he did, the KK or SS would have been deleted years ago -- as well as the Clocks in the baby years. They only delete the malicious ones. That means account jackers, award stealers, or illegal material (or hardcore porn) uploaders.

You hate spam crews? Well, look at it like this. Spam crews have had a huge impact on the flash scene. The Clocks were spammers when they started. They grew into a huge identity and gave importance on the portal. They inspired both pro and anti Clock works. Some good, some not so. You may lack in any kind of flash skill, the least you could do is help the portal by adding a new face -- whether it's spammer or not so.

Also, as for spam crews, there's a reason why Tom let them exist. Because, Tom knew that they added the face value and inspired new flashes. It's not like he hasn't been asked to delete Clock Crew when it was still fairly new and filling the portal with garbage.

In a time when barely anything is coming through in the portal, activity is low, it takes about a half a day for flash to pass judgment, and summer is approaching (in the states), it may be a good time to get the groups of Newgrounds working together to try to help it.

But it's your choice. I'll help you out here and there. I got the crew experience, and I know some Soups who like making spam, they may work on some a bit. You guys have about 3 or 4 members of this forum, that's more than some crews even start off with.

I say go for it, turn xenonmonkey.com into a spam crew forum. I mean, your activity here would probably jump a slight bit too. Especially if you get raging kids calling you names.

Just saying, it would be good for the portal.

Clocks weren't appreciated early on. But there's always somebody who finds the spams funny. Always. Crews wouldn't grow if they didn't.

Which is true. Always has been. But Tom can also appreciates stupidity. Plus, the idea of making it more geared to only high quality work is costing him.

Spam = More flashes = More page view = more ads = More money = More beer and pizza

No more spam shenanigans.

Some guys don't have a reputation to tarnish in the flash world. But the users are general idiots, believe me, I know. The way dudes see you on the BBS is by your words. I'm in the Soup Squad, these guys know it, but when they see my post they don't think "Canned" they think "Narcissy." I haven't been treated any different pre and post crew life.
