Because it'd cost money to upgrade and for school use there's really no point in upgrading at a school because it'd not only take a lot of money but a lot of time. XP was good when it was new, but now it's shit. Vista was shit when it was released, but from what I've heard it's been updated and isn't that bad anymore. Windows 7 is the best Windows OS by far, and it probably will continue being the best until Windows 9, if not forever.

Although, besides shitty Metro, Windows 8 isn't that bad. But metro just kills it.

Actually if they removed metro Windows 8 would be better than Windows 7.

btw it's on my work laptop that i was playing pinball on.
my actual computer has vista which i don't care for.

also if schools buy the program in bulk they get huge discount. well when i was in school that's what my computer science teacher told me. they used vista, or maybe 7... i don't know. i can't tell the difference. i don't really pay attention to that.
