This game is cool as hell.
It's also extremely unknown.
We should totally try and create publicity for it considering that its actually really decent at its pre alpha state.

"Hey, I played your game Sojourn and was massively impressed. I saw that you wanted feedback on the website that you posted the demo on, I wanted to give some but I really didn't want to sign up just to do it.
I really like this game, it feels like it will be one of the better games that I've played when it is finished. Some of the things that you mentioned, the placeholder animations and such, they aren't horrible. The only one I saw that was immersion breaking was the walk animation and the death animation. The death animation is supposedly going to be ragdoll later so who cares, haha.
Another thing that I would like to see is the ability to drag and switch from the back slot to the hand slots, it would simplify the slots and make it so I dont have to drop an item to get another off of my back.
I also noticed that the shield, it was called the Komodienhein sheild (or some such), is this an implication of lore? Do you plan to have a story? I would love it if this game had a bit of an opening incentive to go into this underground dungeon. Another thing I would recommend is some sort of healing option and a health gauge. I frequently found myself dying when i though i only got hit once but I actually got hit twice. It was kind of frustrating.
Hopefully I wasn't too harsh, haha. I really like this game and I look forward to future releases of it.

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, there is some lore to the game, but I haven't released it yet.

I'll have a look at a health gauge and tweaks to the item swapping in the inventory as you mentioned today. They're both easy enough to implement, I just hadn't gotten around to it yet. As for healing, that'll have to wait until I add the saving system, since it's going to be tied into that.

I'm taking a look at some animations today, so I can add walking and death to the list. I spent all of 10 minutes on that death animation, I think I can spend another 10 sprucing it up a little.
